• Apple Computer was born on April 1,1976 when high school friends Steven Wozniak and Steven Jobs decided to try selling the machine that would become the Apple 1. It was designed by Wozniak who has been dabbling in computer design for some time.

• Mac became an overnight success again upon the introduction of the Laser Writer, the first affordable PostScript laser printer from Mac and the Pagemaker, one of the first Desktop Publishing programs.

• Apple experienced its worst problem of building computers when they did not have parts to build them with $ 1 billion dollars in back orders. Compounding Apple's problem was the release of Windows 95 which mimicked the Mac GUI better than ever.

• Apple cemented its position in the digital music industry with the Release of the iPod mini on 2004. The iTunes Music Store had a 70% market share among all legal online music download service and Apple found itself in the position of having a monopoly for the first time in several decades.
