GLOSSARY

Laptop/Notebook:
S mall transportable personal computer that presents similar features as a desktop.

RAM:
Random Access Memory. It is a short-term memory that focuses on work at hand and can store facts in view at one time.

CPU/Processor:
Central Processing Unit. It is a logic circuitry that responds to and deals with the basic instructions that operates a computer.

OS/Operating System:
T he software used to access your personal computer. These are the Windows and Linux.

Hard Drive/Disk:
Internal Memory-utilized to save files and programs on your laptop.

Pointing Device:
Hardware-comes in the form of a mouse, roller ball or touch pad that is used to drive your Operating System and other files.
