Wireless Devices
Wireless Internet
For wireless internet to be possible there should be a coverage area
within which the connections are established. An area is surrounded
by nodes to create a coverage area, and aerials to serve as sensor devices
that detect signals coming form the nodes. The signal will in turn be
sent to your computer to launch connection to the Internet. Because
of this intricate process, wireless Internet is quite expensive and
is not very popular. But surely, it will become the next big thing on
Internet technology. Some companies are even offering wireless internet
connection in Britain. However, wireless internet is vulnerable to extreme
weather conditions because it uses radio signals to connect with devices.
Wireless Speakers
The more up-to-date computer and stereos use speakers connected via
infrared or Bluetooth. Since infrared can be linked in straight lines
only, speakers connected using this wireless link need to have the main
operating device such as the CPU or stereo in the same room with them.
Bluetooth, on the other hand, works using radio waves that’s why
the speakers and the operating device can connect even one is in a different
room.
